I still remember the first time I saw a pronghorn in the wild. Back in 2012, a couple friends and I were on our way out to Guadalupe Mountains National Park for a backpacking trip. On the drive out there, I happened to catch a glimpse of a lone pronghorn running across the West Texas landscape.
Prior to this, I was intrigued by them...but after seeing one in person, I became really fascinated by their ability to move. They make running at ridiculous speeds look so easy, and when I really think about that, it just gets me fired up.
