The Common Gray Fox (Urocyon cinereoargenteus) is found throughout Big Bend National Park. They are often seen crossing the roads, climbing rocky cliffs, and even up in trees! This canine is adept at climbing trees and will do so to seek protection, find a place to sleep, and even to search for food. They are omnivores and will eat just about anything, including rabbits, birds, grasshoppers, persimmons, and acorns. If you are lucky enough to see a fox in the park, remember to give them plenty of space, and never feed the wildlife. #bigbend #grayfox #keepwildlifewild
